Historic Rice's Hotel / Hughlett's Tavern sponsors the Heathsville Farmers Market every 3rd Saturday of the month from April to October. Local produce, eggs & oysters, crafts, plants, baked goods and more.

May's market will include a Flower Show, being put on by the Chesapeake Bay Garden Club. In addition, a "Wine, Brew & Spirits Fest" is tentatively planned, should health restrictions allow. In June, there will be a free Jazz concert, sponsored by the Rappahannock Concert Association.
